What you’ll be doing
What you'll be doing As an Associate Legal Counsel, you’ll be a core member of our Legal team, driving strategic initiatives across product development, regulatory compliance, and business operations, serving as the primary legal point of contact for payment-related matters. Here's what your day-to-day will look like:
Strategic advisory – Act as strategic product counsel throughout the lifecycle of new product and feature development, from ideation to market launch, ensuring alignment with Satispay’s goals and regulatory compliance.
Cross-team collaboration – Partner with business teams to create groundbreaking services by developing innovative legal solutions that balance business needs with effective risk management.
Legal drafting and negotiation – Draft and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including partnerships, vendor contracts, terms of service, and other customer-facing documentation.
Regulatory compliance support – Work closely with the Compliance department to ensure products and services align with applicable financial regulations, such as those related to e-money and MiFID services, and assist in managing relationships with regulatory authorities.
Regulatory horizon scanning – Proactively monitor regulatory developments and emerging trends, assessing their implications for the business and ensuring timely adaptation to maintain compliance and support strategic objectives.

Who we’re looking for
We need a problem-solver with a strong analytical mindset who thrives in a collaborative environment. If you’re detail-oriented and ready to take ownership in a dynamic setting, you’ll fit right in! Does this sound like you?
Legal and financial background – You are a qualified lawyer with a strong background in reputable law firms and at least 5 years of experience advising fintechs on financial regulations and payment products, ideally with experience in tech innovation applied to e-money or MiFID services.
Strategic and risk-based approach – You can take smart risks and provide strategic advice, aligning regulatory requirements with key business objectives.
Product counseling – You can immerse yourself in the technical and product aspects with high curiosity and are willing to find innovative customer-facing features while balancing legal risks effectively.
Contract negotiation – You are skilled in drafting and negotiating complex agreements with a strong understanding of regulatory considerations.
Communication skills – You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to effectively advise and influence senior management and engage diverse stakeholders.
