Collections Support, Intern
Your role:
Within the Finance and Accounting Department, your primary responsibility will be to assist in contacting clients regarding outstanding payments, while supporting the team in maintaining positive client relationships and promoting timely payment processing.
Assist in maintaining accurate records of customer payments and outstanding balances;
Support the collections team by preparing and sending payment reminders and follow-up emails to customers;
Help organize and file accounts receivable documents and correspondence;
Update and maintain customer account information in the accounting system;
Generate routine reports on payment status and outstanding invoices for the team;
Provide general administrative support to the collections department as needed;
Communicate courteously with customers under supervision to confirm payment arrangements or clarify account details;
Prepare simple reports and updates on collection activities and accounts receivable status for review by Partners.
Your profile:
Basic understanding or coursework related to collections, finance, or a similar field; prior internship or part-time experience is a plus;
Good command of English; knowledge of French or German is an advantage;
Familiarity with billing procedures and an eagerness to learn about collection processes;
Comfortable working towards goals and deadlines in a team environment;
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with a willingness to develop negotiation and problem-solving abilities;
Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel, and open to learning database management tools.
