Primary Responsibilities:
- Gain industry and finance knowledge through daily business interactions and work assignments
- Develop business, financial and analytical skills for a career in financial related services
- Support invoice processes (record supplier’s invoices in GL, issue supplier payments, etc.)
- Support monthly closings (reconciliations, accruals, journal entries, etc.)
- Perform testing on new software integration into Bank's processes and on-going enhancements
- Support management reporting as required
- Perform ad-hoc financial analysis (variance analysis, deep dive into PnL drivers)
- Provide analytical support to team members across departments (predominately Back Office)
Skills required:
- Student with a minimum of 4 years of university education in Accounting, Finance and/or Economics
- Work experience is a plus
- Highly skilled in Excel and good command of Microsoft Office
- Good analytical skills, deadline-oriented and attention to detail
- Ability to do in-depth data analysis and to follow a methodical approach to work while also seeking to understand the big picture
- Proficiency in English
