The Country Manager will be responsible for executing the go-to-market strategy, building and leading a high-performing sales team, and establishing iBanFirst as the preferred financial services provider for Corporate and Holding Structures and Alternative Fund Industry
This role requires a mix of strategic vision, leadership, and hands-on sales expertise.
What will you do:
- Lead the market entry strategy and execution:
- Corporate and Holding Structures
- Develop and execute a sales strategy targeting international corporations and holding companies.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with corporate legal advisors, family offices, and corporate service providers.
- Offer tailored solutions for cross-border payments and FX risk management.
- Alternative Fund Industry
- Develop and implement a sales strategy focused on private equity firms, venture capital firms, real estate funds, securitization vehicles, and other alternative investment funds.
- Build strong relationships with fund administrators, investment managers, and family offices.
- Deliver tailored solutions for cross-border payments and FX risk management to institutional clients to optimize their international financial operations.
- Corporate and Holding Structures
- Build and manage a team of high-performing sales professionals, including Business Developers & Account Managers.
- Drive new business acquisition while overseeing the expansion of existing client relationships.
- Be the face of iBanFirst in the Luxembourg market, representing the company in media, industry events, and regulatory discussions in cooperation with the local compliance manager.
- Work closely with the Regional Sales Director and other Country Managers to align Luxembourg's strategy with broader European objectives.
- Develop and execute a commercial action plan to achieve revenue and client acquisition targets.
- Ensure exceptional customer service by optimizing onboarding and support processes to meet the specific needs of institutional clients.
- Identify and establish strategic partnerships (i.e. branch organizations, corporate service providers) that accelerate market penetration.
- Continuously analyze market trends, competition, and regulatory changes to refine our approach.
- Provide ongoing strategic guidance on customer segmentation, sales methodologies, and processes.
What do you bring:
- Proven track record in sales and leadership within financial services, fintech, FX, or banking (8 – 12 years).
- Strong experience working with alternative investment funds, private equity, venture capital, real estate funds, or securitization vehicles.
- Established network within the Luxembourg financial ecosystem, particularly with corporate service providers such as Vistra, IQ-EQ, and Intertrust.
- Experience leading sales teams, with a hands-on, results-oriented approach.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build a business from scratch.
- Ability to engage and build relationships at the C-level, negotiating complex financial solutions.
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into execution.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluency in English and French; German is a plus.
- Based in Luxembourg or willing to relocate.
