ArcelorMittal Europe Flat Products, the European Procurement Organization (EPO) was established in November 2015 as a combined procurement organization connecting global and hub-based categories.
As a global player and buyer of goods and services, EPO leverages technical excellence to develop best Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) solutions to our internal clients, commonly called “users,” to secure ArcelorMittal’s supply chain.
We negotiate the purchases of contracts, products, and services for the group mills worldwide, designing and implementing relevant strategies to anticipate market evolutions and establish transformation programs to optimize the purchasing processes and performances.
We are looking for a Buyer in our General Industrial Services (GIS) & Global Support Services subcategory in Luxembourg.
The GIS & GSS subcategory covers a wide range of different services linked to production (internal transport, industrial cleaning, packaging and handling, scaffolding etc.) and Global Support Services (travel & fleet, interim management, consultancy services, subscriptions, facility management, training etc.).
About the role
- Actively participate in the strategic procurement activities (reporting; data, TCO and spend analysis; tendering process; benchmarking; contract management etc.)
- Work in transversal projects (i.e. to ensure share of best cost and practices across clusters; deploy new tools; work on harmonization & improvements etc.)
- Active support to collect information and build strategy for the category/activity/contract
- Work closely with internal customers and other stakeholders
- Work closely with Buyers and Lead Buyers in conducting research on supply market, price benchmark and supplier profiles
Key responsibilities
- Follow EPO processes and procedures
- Support ongoing projects for global & transversal perimeter
- Develop and maintain supplier profiles: manage supplier relationship and monitor contract performance
- Deliver savings and subcategory KPI targets
- Assist Lead Buyers or the Head of subcategory with necessary analyses: spend data analysis, basic financial analysis, performance reporting, supply market research, price benchmarks, supplier profile maintenance, questionnaires etc.
- Achieve effective procurement and business continuity by cooperation with stakeholders and users
- Participate in transversal working groups and projects
Your profile
You hold a master’s degree in procurement, engineering, supply chain, economics or equivalent.
You must be proficient in English AND Spanish. Any other additional European language is appreciated.
Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement. Any relevant experience in financial analysis would be an asset.
As a genuine buyer, you have problem-solving and analytical skills, and a good ease facing numbers. You have good technical knowledge of contracts, targeted systems, project management and negotiation.
You combine leadership and communication skills with an appetite for reducing costs, finding information on innovative industry trends and market analysis. You are team oriented and like collaboration.
