We are hiring a Buyer Chemicals for our Steelmaking & Finishing team in Luxembourg or in Paris.
About the Role
Within the European Procurement Organization, in an international and multicultural environment, the Buyer would be in charge of the procurement of Chemicals for our European production facilities located in Belgium, France, Germany, Poland, and Spain.
Key Responsibilities
- Market Intelligence
- Elaborate on purchasing strategy and deploy decided strategic levers
- Prospect, manage, and assess the capable panel of suppliers
- Plan, develop and negotiate contracts
- Report negotiation results
- Deploy contracts and measure their performance
- Interact with the transactional teams (back-office and middle office) for contract deployment
- Manage the uninterrupted supply to ArcelorMittal European plants
- Organize the relationship with plants and suppliers
- Work with the users and suppliers to improve a Total Cost of Ownership of the purchased products
- Deploy the European Procurement Organization’s Quality Management System policies within her/his respective area
Your Profile
- You hold a master’s degree in engineering and/or purchasing.
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Buyer in an industrial company and you are industry oriented.
- Advanced Excel user. Fluency and taste for databases. SAP User.
- You are fluent in English. Any additional European language is a plus.
- You are reliable, rigorous, result oriented and you have good communication skills.
- You have a strong team spirit, and you like to work in a multi-cultural environment.
- Knowledge of quality management norms (ISO 9001…) would be a plus.
