Your next challenge
- Testing Culture:
- Foster a dynamic testing culture by engaging with team members, sharing best practices, and promoting a quality-first mindset.
- Continuously contribute to QA process improvements across projects and teams.
- Ownership of Testing Processes:
- Take complete responsibility for the testing lifecycle, including planning, execution, documentation, and continuous improvement of testing methodologies and processes.
- Ensure clarity, testability, and risk mitigation by actively contributing to requirements refinement, backlog grooming and sprint planning meetings
- Log, verify and triage defects and contribute to root cause analysis.
- Manual Testing:
- Perform comprehensive manual tests on new and existing software applications to detect bugs and ensure superior quality performance.
- Design, review, execute and maintain test cases to validate requirements and ensure coverage.
- Organize test cases in relevant suites and ensure execution is relevant for the situation at hand.
- Automated Testing:
- Define and align the test case automation selection strategy with project objectives, scope, and risk priorities.
- Develop and execute automated testing strategies and scripts for both new and existing applications to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
- Provide test automation reports to the project team.
- Reporting
- Track and report test results, requirements coverage and provide test progress status.
- Support GO / NO-GO decisions with objective quality insights.
Your skills
- Experience: 3 to 7 years of proven experience in software quality assurance, with strong proficiency in both manual and automated testing techniques.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field
- Technical Knowledge:
- Familiarity with industry-standard testing tools and frameworks, and different types of tests
- Knowledge of Azure DevOps and Azure DevOps Test Plans is considered a strong asset.
- Experience with Playwright is desirable.
- Familiar with integration of automated tests in CI/CD pipelines, preferably Azure DevOps.
- Familiar with API testing and tools (ex, Swagger)
- Experience with BDD frameworks (ex. Cucumber, Specflow)
- Collaborative Skills: Ability to work effectively within a development team and communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Problem-Solving: Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to details.
- Testing Culture Advocacy: Passionate about cultivating a testing culture and committed to enhancing quality across all stages of development.
- Organizational Skills: Proactive, organized, and capable of managing multiple tasks while meeting deadlines.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities and critical thinking skills.
- Agile Experience: Experience in creating and implementing testing solutions in an agile environment is advantageous.
- Certifications: Holding an ISTQB certification is an asset.
- Continuous Learning: Commitment to staying updated with the latest trends and advancements in software testing.
- Languages: Proficient in English; French is considered a strong asset
