Your future team
This role involves primarly maintaining and enhancing the ServiceNow Configuration Management Database (CMDB) but also helping other process owners in their tasks, especially Change Management, Problem Management and Knowledge management. The position requires a detail-oriented approach, providing daily support and optimizing processes through automation and collaboration. Responsibilities include working closely with stakeholders and the process Managers to support service improvement initiatives.
Your next challenge
- CMDB Management: Develop and maintain the ServiceNow-based CMDB, ensuring cohesive, consistent, and comprehensive representation of information from the IT ecosystem.
- Daily Support: Provide daily support for the CMDB, proactively addressing any issues or requests that arise and ensuring efficient resolution.
- Automation and Continuous Improvement: Manage and resolve tickets, identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency within repetitive processes.
- Data Review: Organize periodic reviews of existing data in the system with relevant personnel to ensure accuracy and currency.
- Documentation and Support: Create documentation such as specifications and guides, ensuring stakeholders understand their role within processes.
- Service Improvement Participation: Actively participate in the Continuous Service Improvement (CSI) of configuration management processes and potentially support other ITIL processes.
- Other process improvements : the first focus will be the configuration management but you can be involved in working on other processes like change management to ensure the readiness of changes or being backup of other process managers.
Your skills
- Education and Experience: Preference for education in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related IT fields. Experience with ServiceNow ITSM processes is an asset with 2 or 3 years professional experience.
- Certifications: ITIL Foundation v4 certification is expected.
- Technical and Analytical Skills: Ability to handle complex data models, work with integrations and APIs, and review data integrity.
- Attention to Detail: Thoroughness and precision in handling data and documentation, ensuring consistency and quality at all times.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to discuss processes with diverse stakeholders and facilitate exchanges.
- Solution Orientation: Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to provide recommendations for the current and future platform.
- Resilience: Strong resilience to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Teamwork: Excellent collaboration, customer service, and communication skills for working in a team environment.
- Languages: Fluency in English; French and/or Spanish are a plus.
