Job description
- Lead and direct a team of Team Leaders to meet Business Unit objectives.
- Plan, coordinate and direct all Polishing, Assembly and Refurbishing related activities to achieve profit, growth and investment return goals.
- Responsible for developing and implementing strategies, policies and programs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead Polishing, Assembly and Refurbishing teams in the identification and correction of issues and root cause analysis to prevent re-occurrence
- Develop strategies, ensuring alignment to global team
- Ensure that teams meet business KPIs and customer delivery expectations are satisfied.
- Help facilitate and resolve employee relations issues
- Communicate company goals/philosophies to Team Members / Team Leaders
- Drive continuous improvement in all areas through the use of Kaizen, 5S, Lean and Six Sigma tools
- Manage Team Leader work assignments and special projects. Lead Team Leader meetings and participate in weekly status meetings.
- Develop Team Leaders and Team Members to their full potential.
- Maintain world-class housekeeping standards within the Polishing, Assembly and Refurbishing operations.
- Create an environment that promotes continuous learning and team building opportunities.
- Contribute ideas, suggestions and solutions as part of the Management Team
- Participate in or lead continuous improvement activities

Qualifications:
- Post-secondary education (College or University Degree in Engineering and/or Manufacturing preferred) with minimum 5 years demonstrated competency through work experience.
- Minimum 5-10 years manufacturing experience/working in a manufacturing environment.
- 5-8 years leadership experience
- Proven ability to manage, motivate and develop people, influence others to work towards a common business and/or team goal, resolve conflicts, communicate well with team and others, and provide and be receptive to feedback
- Strong judgment, problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
- Proficient with MS Office with an understanding of ERP and Quality Management systems
- Demonstrated strong meeting facilitation skills
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes (lean, six sigma, 5S etc.)
