As an IT Project Management Officer, your primary mission is to manage and oversee IT projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for coordinating with the local development team leads, local domain teams lead and stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution. Reporting to the PMO office in Luxembourg, you will play a crucial role in driving project success, mitigating risks, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Your role will involve managing project timelines, resources, and budgets, as well as facilitating communication and collaboration across teams.
- Manage and oversee the execution of IT projects from initiation to closure.
- Coordinate with development team leads and stakeholders to ensure project requirements are met.
- Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and mitigating risks and issues.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration across project teams and stakeholders.
- Prepare and present project status reports to the PMO office and senior management.
- Ensure project deliverables meet quality standards and align with organizational objectives.
- Manage project resources, including allocation and scheduling.
- Implement and maintain project management best practices and standards.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes and tools.
All these activities must be handled in full compliance with the IT General Compliance rules and the SOx rules that are applied in the ArcelorMittal group.
What you’ll need:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced IT PMO with a minimum of 7 years background of experience in IT project management and a deep understanding of IT environments. You should have excellent communication and leadership skills, along with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools is essential. Experience in IT project implementations and a technical understanding will be highly beneficial.
- Master’s in IT studies or similar, Project Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
- PMP, Prince2 or other relevant project management certifications will have strong advantage.
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience in IT project management
- Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
- Experience with project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Confluence, etc.).
- Strong risk management and issue resolution skills.
- Proven ability to lead middle/large projects and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Dynamic and proactive person, easy contact and quick understanding.
- Ability to communicate efficiently at all levels of the organization, internally and externally (verbal and written)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in preparing project documentation, reports, and presentations.
- Commitment to continuous improvement of project management processes.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a complex environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
