Role description:
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Alternative Investment Fund (AIF) SME to join our growing team.
The candidate will bring a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience working with AIF structures and will serve as a key advisor across fund setup, regulatory compliance, operational workflows, and investor reporting.
This role is ideal for a driven professional looking to deepen their expertise in private equity, real estate, infrastructure, hedge funds, or other alternative asset classes, within a dynamic and evolving environment.
Your role
- Act as the internal subject matter expert on all matters related to Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs), with a deep understanding of AIFMD regulations and fund structuring.
- Support the onboarding and launch of new AIFs, including coordination with legal, compliance, custodians, administrators, and auditors.
- Advise on AIF operational frameworks, governance requirements, risk and compliance obligations.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory developments impacting AIFs across key jurisdictions (e.g., EU, Luxembourg,…).
- Liaise with internal teams (portfolio management, legal, risk, compliance) and external stakeholders (regulators, depositaries, service providers).
- Contribute to the review and implementation of AIF policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Provide subject matter input for investor reporting, disclosures, and fund marketing materials.
- Assist with regulatory filings and reports.
- Participate in strategic initiatives and continuous improvement projects related to the alternative investment fund platform.
Your profile
- Minimum 3 years of direct experience working with AIF structures in a fund administrator, asset manager, law firm, or advisory firm.
- Strong working knowledge of AIFMD, fund structuring, and regulatory reporting obligations.
- Experience with at least one alternative asset class: private equity, real estate, infrastructure, private debt, or hedge funds.
- Familiarity with key fund jurisdictions such as Luxembourg, Ireland, or the Channel Islands.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Law, Economics, Business, or related field.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain complex regulatory matters to non-specialists.
- Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
- Proactive and solution-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Team player with experience working in cross-functional environments.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Fluent in English and French
