The team is hiring a Construction Engineer to play a critical role in supporting the Steligence® Resident and Commercial Teams by promoting ArcelorMittal’s innovative construction solutions. You will engage with key stakeholders such as architects, investors, general contractors, and design offices to provide technical expertise, contribute to value engineering, and drive early-stage decision-making through predesign and life-cycle assessment support.
This position is ideal for a civil engineer with a solid foundation in steel-concrete composite construction, customer orientation, and a passion for sustainable, forward-thinking building design.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to the Steligence® Resident and Commercial Teams.
- Promote ArcelorMittal’s portfolio of products and construction solutions to architects, design offices, general contractors, and investors.
- Prepare predesigns and life-cycle assessments to support early-stage decision-makers.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including the Steligence® Commercial and Fabrication Center teams to ensure project alignment and technical feasibility.
- Support co-engineering initiatives by assisting with design work, tender preparation, and client approvals.
- Identify customer needs and market trends to guide the development and positioning of ArcelorMittal solutions.
- Contribute to the creation of technical and marketing documentation and represent the company at industry events, fairs, and customer promotion activities.
- Track and report on value creation resulting from your technical interventions and customer engagements.
- Travel required: minimal, 15%.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent)
- Professional experience in building design, preferably involving steel-concrete composite structures
- Prior exposure to construction projects or engineering consultancies is a plus
- Strong knowledge of steel-concrete composite construction and building systems
- Customer-oriented mindset with excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Flexible and collaborative approach
- Strong communication and public speaking skills
- Ability to translate technical knowledge into customer value
- English Advanced level (spoken and written) any additional languages are an asset
