(Senior) Fund Manager
The Role
As a Fund Manager, you will act as the key person for investors and assume overall responsibility for the growth and performance of a clean energy investment funds/ mandates.
Your responsibilities:
- Development and ongoing management of investment funds and mandates with a focus on clean energy investments.
- Ensure strategic alignment of the fund’s portfolio and portfolio build-up with defined short-, medium- and long-term investment strategy considering a set risk appetite and market developments.
- Portfolio construction based on quantitative and qualitative analysis leading to strategic and tactical asset allocation decisions.
- Act as face-to-the investor for portfolio related requests and transactions depending on the set-up of respective investor committees and collaborate with sales department on investor pitches, investor meetings, etc.
- Assessment and structuring of new investments with early involvement into the transaction process in close collaboration with investment management including SPA negotiation.
- Ongoing assessment of key performance drivers of the fund portfolio against strategy/targets and ongoing enhancement of risk-return profile of the portfolio.
- Secure portfolio funding (both equity and debt) in co-operation with group treasury and sales.
- Foster excellence by creating comprehensive best practice materials and providing on-the-job training to team members in various asset and fund specific areas.
- Keep pace with industry trends, regulatory changes, and market dynamics in the renewable energy sector. Utilize this knowledge to offer insights on the portfolio strategy.
- Assume board mandates for fund and portfolio companies.
Your qualifications:
- Professional experience within an AIFM, Asset Manager, Advisory Firm (7-10 years desired experience).
- University degree in business or economics or any other investment related field.
- High level of initiative, independence and excellent organisational skills with a collaborative mindset.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Qualifications such as CFA, CAIA, ACCA, etc. are considered a plus.
- Fluency in English and German, an additional European language is highly desirable.
- Ability to travel.
