We are currently looking for a Payment Operations Senior Associate (m/f/d) to support our operations in Luxembourg. If you want to be part of our multidisciplinary team and are interested in this excellent opportunity, please apply for this role.
The Role and Key Responsibilities
- Ensuring timely and accurate payments execution on behalf of clients of Apex Group.
- Responsible for correctness of the Payment Instructions including control over payment details, intermediary banks and other payment terms.
- Responsible for oversight of the work completed by the junior payment team members as well as working in close cooperation and support with the wider team (accountants, corporate secretarial etc.).
- Ensuring payment transactions are processed diligently in accordance with internal procedures and AML regulations in place.
- Liaising with clients, property managers, asset managers, administrative authorities and any service providers of the clients of Apex Group (such as lawyers, notaries and other).
- Acting as the key customer contact for payments and develop good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Coordinating with banks (online access, execution of payments, any issues on the execution of payments, ensure that bank account has sufficient balance to cover the payments, keeping our records updated).
- Assisting with the design and implementation of updated payment preparation framework.
- Training new joiners on payment operations and processes.
- Performing in accordance with the company's internal procedures and policies.
Skills Required
- Bachelor or Masters’ degree in economics, business administration, Finance or similar.
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in payment transaction processing with experience in supervising and overseeing team deliverables.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills as well as a structured way of working.
- Strong knowledge of MS Office products, Excel, further system knowledge e.g. SWIFT, treasury platforms, etc. would be an asset.
- Ability to set priorities, be flexible and highly accurate.
- Ability work, contributing to the development of best practices and process efficiency by strengthening the supporting documents, policies and procedures
- Taking initiative in payment process part of the development, projects to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- successfully both autonomously and within teams.
- Fluency in English is mandatory and additional languages of French and/or German is an asset.
