We currently have a vacancy for a Semantic Technologies Specialist fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Luxembourg. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.
Your tasks
- Design and Improve Ontologies – Create and refine semantic models, adopting well-established vocabularies to ensure clarity and interoperability;
- Shape Systems at the Conceptual Level – Define specifications for system creation, harmonization, and optimization, with emphasis on data protection, content negotiation, and monitoring;
- Guide Implementation and Migration – Develop strategies, test plans, and contribute to standardization efforts (ELI, DCAT-AP);
- Keep Systems Running Smoothly – Monitor and troubleshoot Semantic Web applications in production;
- Bridge Tech and Business – Align semantic solutions with business goals, engaging stakeholders and measuring real-world impact;
- Be a Knowledge Leader – Share expertise on trends, train colleagues, present recommendations, and contribute to knowledge transfer;
- Stay Ahead of the Curve – Represent the company in conferences, workshops, and webinars, continuously learning and applying the latest advances.
Requirements
- University degree in IT or relevant discipline combined with 7 years of relevant experience;
- At least 3 years of experience in a software development environment;
- At least 3 years of experience in RDF and RDF-S;
- At least 2 years of experience in OWL 2, RDF serialization formats (RDFa, Turtle, RDF/XML and JSON-LD), Triple stores (Virtuoso or equivalent) and SPARQL 1.0/1.1;
- At least 2 years of experience in Java (Java SE, Java EE, EJB, Applet, etc.) or Python;
- At least 2 years of experience in Linux;
- At least 2 years of experience in databases and querying (e.g. Oracle, SQL,Elastic Search, Mongo DB, Neo4j);
- At least 1 year of experience in OWL-DL;
- At least 1 year of experience in XML;
- At least 1 year of experience in Microsoft Windows 7 and higher;
- At least 1 year of experience in monitoring tools(e.g. ELK, Dynatrace);
- At least 1 year of experience in version management tools (e.g. SVN, Bitbucket);
- At least 1 year of experience in issue Tracking System (e.g. JIRA), Collaborative system (e.g. Confluence) and Microsoft Office 365;
- At least 1 year of experience in Cloud-native and distributed systems(e.g. API Gateway, REST, Azure, Docker, Kubernetes);
- Excellent command of the English language (B2 – CEFR).
