Have you ever ordered a product on Amazon and when that box-with-the-smile arrives you wonder how it got to you so fast? Wondered where it came from and how much it cost Amazon? Wondered how Amazon designs its transportation network to scale and reliably deliver hundreds of millions of package to customer’s doorsteps? If so, EU Fulfillment Optimization (EU-FO) team is for you. We are tasked with optimizing the fulfillment on customer orders so that we fulfill all orders in the most intelligent manner while ensuring Amazon customers get their orders on time.

We are seeking an experienced Manager to lead our Reactive Transfers program across Europe. This strategic role will drive the optimization of our FC-to-FC transfer network to maximize consolidation benefits while ensuring profitability through data-driven decision making and automated solutions.

Key job responsibilities
This role is high visibility and cuts across all business functions. You will lead a team responsible for developing and implementing automated network design solutions, optimizing reactive transfer profitability, and building scalable analytics capabilities. This role offers the opportunity to drive significant impact on Amazon's operational efficiency and cost savings across European markets.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the development and implementation of automated network design solutions to optimize reactive transfer lanes across European markets
- Drive continuous improvement of reactive transfer profitability through data-driven lane launches and deprecations based on sophisticated profitability models

- Drive strategic initiatives to integrate networking design of warehouse transfers with that of outbound network and leverage synergies to improve truck fill-rate

A day in the life
As the Manager for Reactive Transfers, you'll optimize how we move inventory between fulfillment centers across Europe. Your typical day includes:

- Leading a team of analysts and program managers developing automation solutions
- Analyzing network performance metrics and lane profitability
- Collaborating with FCs, Transportation and Finance teams on new lane proposals
- Working with FC and Transportation operations to understand ground realities
- Driving improvements to our Transfer Network Planner system

- Transportation teams (ATS, GTS) and FC operations leaders (ACES, Sr. Ops Managers)
- Finance teams
- US-based Tech teams ( SCOT-FO, AFT)
- Senior leadership in MBRs/QBRs

You'll balance strategic thinking (long-term network design) with tactical execution (weekly operations), while solving complex mathematical problems that impact millions of packages.

The most exciting part? Your decisions directly influence Amazon's operational efficiency and bottom line across European operations.
