Assistant Fund Controller
At Prologis we are seeking an Assistant Controller for our subsidiary based in Luxembourg that manages our European property funds. In addition to managing these funds, Prologis is a key shareholder in the funds.
This position assists the Fund Controller in the financial and operational reporting for the funds, headquartered in Luxembourg. The fund invests in distribution facilities throughout Europe. Properties owned by the funds are managed by Prologis-affiliated companies across Europe, which are responsible for all aspects of property management including property financial reporting to the Luxembourg team.
This position serves a key role in ensuring accurate timely accounting and reporting for the Fund, in accordance with the applicable accounting standards and internal guidelines by contributing to the overall closing process through preparation of financial statements, investor report and supporting schedules/reconciliations, performing review and analysis, and responding to ad-hoc requests.

What’s needed in order to do that:
The following items are part of the monthly, quarterly and annual reporting processes:
- Ensure correct consolidation of the subsidiaries of the funds, including review of real estate transactions, financing activity, required elimination entries for capital increases/decreases, dividend distributions, internal share transfers, new incorporations and liquidations.
- Review of GAAP adjustments from the corporate reporting under USGAAP to investor reporting under IFRS.
- Calculate variances from the budget and report significant issues to the Fund Controller.
- Assisting the Fund Controller with the preparation of consolidated IFRS statements.
- Calculate the Net Asset Values of the fund in accordance with the fund documents and/or INREV guidelines as well as performance measures.
- Preparation of the quarterly investor reports.
- Assisting with interim and year-end financial audits on the consolidated financials as well as on sub-consolidation level if and when required. This may range from preparation/collection of items on the PBC list to responding to information requests from the auditors.
- Responding to ad-hoc information request from management, investors, Financial Planning & Analysis and US corporate and fund accounting.
- Prepare regulatory reporting (AIFM, CSSF, BCL)
As can be seen from the above the role is hands-on and requires review of accounting entries as well as analytical skills in reviewing financial data.

- Qualified accountant with over 5 years accounting experience in an international environment
- 3 years or more in real estate experience
- Experience should include consolidation and reporting in an international, multi-currency environment as well as the “maintenance” of internal controls
- Experience with/knowledge of IFRS and US-GAAP is required.
- Experience with complex legal structures
- Experience with PeopleSoft is preferred
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Strong communication skills
- Strong excel skills
