About the Role:
As an AI and Digital Tools Manager within Ferrero’s packaging division, you will play a pivotal role in integrating advanced technologies that enhance our packaging development processes. With a focus on efficiency, sustainability, and quality, your mission is to embed AI and digital solutions across key stages of packaging—transforming how we design, assess, and bring packaging innovations to life.
You will actively explore new AI applications and evaluate their impact on workflows, by employing a smart follower strategy. From improving existing procedures to scouting cutting-edge analytical tools, your work will shape how Ferrero evolves its packaging operations and strengthens its Right First-Time performance. By evaluating, recommending and implementing simulations and AI tools, you will also help accelerate time-to-market, support risk assessments, and enhance decision-making through predictive insights.
Main Responsibilities:
In this role, you will lead the integration of AI across packaging design, material selection, and production workflows. You’ll manage AI models that boost predictive maintenance, testing industrial trials results and material performances and automation efficiency—ensuring we stay ahead of industry trends and operational demands.
You will be at the forefront of process improvement, leveraging digital tools to optimize packing procedures and applying your knowledge of design principles and packaging systems to deliver measurable impact aligned with Ferrero’s quality and sustainability standards.
Your responsibilities include scouting and assessing external tools and simulation technologies, ensuring they align with Ferrero’s strategic goals. You’ll act as a key decision-maker in evaluating and implementing these tools, with the aim of streamlining risk assessments, improving packaging success rates, and driving faster development cycles.
You will oversee the implementation of digital tools that support data collection, visualization, and analysis across the packaging function. By enabling better use of these tools, you will help drive data-informed decisions and fuel continuous improvement efforts throughout the organization.
Collaboration is key in this role. You’ll work closely with R&D, designers, production, and sustainability teams to identify opportunities where AI and digital solutions can add real value. Beyond project management, your leadership will foster a culture of innovation, experimentation, and long-term capability building within the division.
As part of this transformation, you will train and support teams to ensure they are equipped to use the new tools effectively. You’ll also lead on data governance, ensuring data integrity, security, and accessibility, while developing clear policies to support responsible data use within the packaging function.
To ensure sustained impact, you’ll monitor and evaluate the performance of AI and digital tools, using insights to continuously optimize how technology supports packaging outcomes. A strong sustainability focus is also essential—you’ll ensure your work aligns with Ferrero’s environmental goals by driving solutions that reduce waste and promote responsible innovation.
In addition to these responsibilities, you will serve as the primary contact for packaging-related IT tools and software—ensuring a clear interface between technical teams and business needs.

With your strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills, you know how to translate data into action. You’re an excellent communicator, comfortable working across functions and building strong partnerships with stakeholders from technical, operational, and creative teams.
You have experience managing data governance and integrity, and you thrive in dynamic, fast-evolving environments where change is the norm.
