Our team is looking for top-notch software developers who love listening to our customers, working as a team, and proactively taking the lead whenever necessary. Our mission is to innovate and build scalable and robust software solutions that deliver a great customer experience. These software solutions will directly impact Amazon’s customers from product selection and order placement, to delivering products to our customers as quickly and cost effectively as possible. A successful candidate for this position will be able to build new software from the ground up, create pragmatic solutions for complex business problems, enjoy working closely with operations staff to optimize physical processes, and be willing to occasionally travel to Amazon fulfillment centers around the world. Key job responsibilities
Our team is looking for programmer analysts who love listening to our customers, working as a team, and proactively taking lead whenever necessary. Our mission is to innovate and build scalable and robust software solutions that deliver a great customer experience. These software solutions will directly impact Amazon’s customers from product selection and order placement, to delivering products to our customers as quickly and cost effectively as possible. You are a proficient programmer, with advanced scripting and querying skills as well as basic object oriented analysis and design skills. Strong analytical skills with ability to formulate logic for new systems, devise logic procedures, prepare flowchart, write new code, and test/debug new programs.
What you will do?

You will be a significant contributor to the team and to the broader organization. You will solve complex and broad business problems with simple and straightforward solutions, applying appropriate technologies and software engineering best practices.
You may create a new application or tool from top to bottom with broadly defined parameters.
You participate actively and constructively in the planning of the team’s work. You help to evolve the team’s practices, constantly looking for improvements.
You work with relevant personnel across Amazon on project issues, and seek to share knowledge across the Amazon business and technical communities.

Basic Qualifications


Programming experience in Java and deep understanding of object-oriented design.
Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field
Solid expertise in data structures and algorithms
Strong problem solving and analytical abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work in a team environment
Experience with working and deploying scalable, highly available systems

Preferred Qualifications

Programming experience in Java and deep understanding of object-oriented design.

Strong problem solving and analytical abilities
Strong verbal and written communication skills and an ability to work in a team environment
