About the role:
As an IT Support & Cloud Officer you play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the productivity of our IT systems. You ensure that users can operate in a comfortable and efficient environment, maximising the benefits of our technology. Your expertise helps in troubleshooting issues, guiding users through resolutions, and supporting the overall IT infrastructure.
This position is based in Luxembourg and reports directly to the IT Officer.
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain optimal operation of computer systems and networks, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software, including operating systems, printers, and other peripherals.
- Monitor system performance and network activity to identify and resolve potential issues proactively.
- Master the Cloud computing system of the company.
- Enforce cybersecurity protocols to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with security policies.
- Be the point of contact in case of IT Security incident, and owner of incident assessment and reporting where necessary to the Senior Management and the CSSF (under the supervision of the Senior Management).
- Respond promptly to service requests and issues via a ticketing system, providing efficient support and solutions.
- Assist users by walking them through troubleshooting steps and resolving technical problems.
- Set up accounts for new users, including configuration of workspaces, devices, and access permissions.
- Support the deployment and installation of new hardware and applications, ensuring a seamless integration into existing systems.
- Test and evaluate new technologies to recommend enhancements to our IT environment.
Requirements
- Full proficiency in English (any other language is a plus).
- Degree or vocational training in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Jamf 200) and Cloud Officer are a plus.
- Proven experience in IT support with hands-on involvement in troubleshooting and resolving hardware/software issues.
- Strong knowledge of:
- macOS operating system
- Computer hardware, printers, and peripheral devices
- Networking concepts and tools
- System monitoring and diagnostic tools
- MDM (preferly Jamf Pro)
- Cloud office suites
- Cloud computing
- Backup-up systems (remote as well as on-site NAS)
- Experience with ticketing systems and IT service management tools.
- Familiarity with user account setup, workspace configuration, and access permission management.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity protocols and compliance standards.
- Experience deploying and integrating new hardware and software.
