Job Description
Wavestone is currently seeking for a Manager to join the European Policy Services in our Luxembourg practice and be part of our exciting growth plans for 2024.
As a valued member of our team, you will play a key role in the development of our practice and contribute to projects and studies mandated by the European Commission (e.g., DG CNECT, DG HOME, DG TAXUD, DG GROW, DG DIGIT among others) as well as other European Institutions (e.g. EIB, ENISA, eu-LISA). As a manager you will be given the opportunity to further develop your leadership skills by leading projects and studies, developing client relationship and seek for new business opportunities, coaching a team of talented consultants, and actively participating in the development of the practice. We are particularly looking for candidates interested in the use of technology as an enabler for governments and industry to better serve the needs of citizens and industry to foster economic growth.
A career as Manager for the European Policy Services will offer you the opportunity to work on evaluations, impact assessments, cost-benefit analysis, technical feasibility, and other type of policy studies in different sectors. This is also an opportunity to shape the European Policy Services offer and to leverage on your existing experience and network in specific policy domains. The Managers are required to:
Foster the expansion and enhancement of European Policy Services by applying your technical expertise and experience in public sector consulting.
Activate your established network to gather information on emerging business prospects and develop new business.
Contribute to the timely and high-quality execution of client projects by assuming responsibility and efficiently guiding teamwork while coordinating internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
You have a relevant degree in Political Sciences, European Studies, Business Administration, Engineering, Economics, or an equivalent field.
You have more than 8-years of professional experience preferably in policy research or business/IT consulting.
You have a solid understanding of the functioning of EU institutions, key issues, EU policy-making processes, and EU procurement procedures.
You have proven professional expertise in successfully delivering projects (e.g. technical feasibility studies, evaluations, impact assessments, market research, cost-benefit analysis, strategic advisory) on domains such as for example emerging technologies, data-related policies, digital transformation of the public and private sector, justice and home affairs, taxation and customs, industry, and SMEs.
You have proven professional experience in managing teams including senior experts.
You have outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues, partners, and clients across various levels.
You must be an advanced user of MS Office tools, especially on MS Excel, MS Word and MS PowerPoint.
You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English - knowledge of French or another European language is considered an asset.
A project management certification (e.g., PMP, Prince2, CSM, ACP) is considered an asset.
