Power Platform, VBA and SharePoint developer for Northern Trust Luxembourg NTGS SE.
Position: Data Scientist
Principal Responsibilities: Supporting and developing Power Platform Tool, SharePoint sites and Excel macros.
The key responsibilities of the role include
- Determines business requirements and department needs in terms of automations. Makes proposals of feasibility.
- Ensures EUC (End User Computing) requirements are met. Become the owner of the EUC database for NTGSE SE.
- Investigates and identifies root causes of errors. Re-engineers processes to ensure that client needs are met and efficient processes are in place.
- Review with the manager/team leader to prioritize the solution requirements that meets the needs of the department, assessing the current state of business to identify and recommend improvements.
- Works effectively as a team member but also independently.
- Delivers a work product that requires less revision.
- Able to facilitate discussions and reach decisions.
- Responsible for design, development and Unit testing.
Skills/ Qualifications
The successful candidate will benefit from having:
- Proficiency in SQL programming
- Power Platform: Very good knowledge of Power Platform.
- SharePoint sites development and maintenance.
- VBA/Excel advanced macros development.
- Proficiency in SQL programming.
- Elaboration of Functional Requirements Documents and development of tactical solutions.
- Elaborate and maintain up-to-date Technical Developments documentation.
- Analytical and problem solving skills are required to redesign processes.
- Knowledge of system capabilities, usually obtained through formal training or experience with PC is required to assess automation possibilities.
- Fluent in English.
- Strong communication skills – teach team members and be able to present his results to a broader audience.
- Attention to details and constant focus on quality and client service.
- Seek to develop own skills and capability on a self-motivated basis.
- Excellent team player.
- Knowledge of other computer skills and languages is an advantage.
- Knowledge of the Financial Instruments.
- Autonomous and be able to organise himself/herself.
- A College or University degree in IT/Engineering and/or minimum 5 year experience in a similar role is required (Luxembourg Fund Industry experience would be a plus).
