In this role you will be responsible for the tactical procurement activities related to the 3rd Party Auxiliary equipment. This consists in being responsible to accept and process the scope of supply requested by the Project team, to set up the procurement activities and ensuring the expediting of products within the priorities of the Project schedule.
You will be located in our European headquarters in Luxembourg. As part of a global team you will report to Global Sourcing Manager EMEA
Responsibilities
- Communicate, explain and negotiate demand to suppliers, which includes communication with internal customers
- Check and challenge demand consistency among scope of supply, cost and delivery required date
- Issue Purchase Orders and follow up on order confirmation with Suppliers and Change notices
- Review and approve scope of supply and approve project plans in Tacton and Max PSF
- Set-up new items and maintain item data in our ERP (Baan IV)
- Ensure supplier delivery commitments are met and maintained in our ERP System
- Create Order reports OTD KPI analysis
- Address operations emergencies and work with suppliers to expedite urgent requirements
- Handle supplier delivery issues, by understanding and analyzing root causes and solve & correct delivery problems self dependently and/or ensure timely escalation to the Sourcing Manager
- Coordinate projects with supplier and internal stakeholders (Inside Sales, Logistics, Finance ….)
- Support the revenue recognition requirements by ensuring project receiving is done as soon as the project has been reported ready for pick-up at the supplier plant (FCA)
- Identify opportunities for cost reductions and continuous improvements and support their implementation
- Assist Sourcing manager in supply contract execution
- Analyze Price Variances and process supplier invoices in SAP Concur
Qualifications
- Project management skills and sense of ownership beyond the process
- Knowledge of Purchasing process fundamentals
- Strong proactive problem solving attitude and proved stress resistance
- Team player in multi-disciplinary challenging environment
- Negotiation and decision making autonomy
- Some years of work experience in similar position gained in an industrial, fast-paced work environment considered an asset
- A passion to get technical understanding of products and ability to pick up new applications and processes quickly
- Good knowledge in MS office (Excel, Outlook); SharePoint and ERP system (BaaN / AX preferred)
- Fluent in English, Knowledge of Italian & German & French will be an asset
